He has came in several times on his scheduled days off to cover shift. He has filled any and all posts as needed. Standoff ends in suicide

Police enter residence, find suspect dead

A police standoff at the Crestview Mobile Home Community on Wednesday ended with a Stillwater man taking his life.

The Stillwater Police Department responded to a report of a possible suicidal male at 814 S. Hightower shortly before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Shortly before 4 p.m., a tactical team entered the residence and found Adam J. Schroeder dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot would to the chest.

What can I say, brother? Wish I could have been there to try to talk you out of this decision. I didn't know things were going so badly for you.

Yeah, I know. Kinda late to be wishing everyone happy holidays, but I did make it before New Years Day. Which is a plus.

Speaking of being late though I really f'ed up the whole "post every day on your blog during the month of Nov" bet I had going with Spilled Ink. She won, I lost, I guess that means I owe her something. Though we never really agreed on terms for the wager. Hopefully she's doing okay, I haven't spoken to her in a while due to an ice storm here and health problems there. Hopefully she's doing okay and I'll hear from her soon or see her around.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas out there. The kids all got Nintendo DSes for Christmas with games and stuff like that. The two youngest got new bikes. I got clothes and a few gift cards from Hastings so I could load up on new music and books.
